BWT AQU@Sense MB is a reliable, proven and accurate system for spot or continuous measurement of TCC (Total Cell Count) using flow cytometry technology.

Microbiological qualification of purified water and water for injection

As defined in the United States (USP) and European (Ph. Eur.) pharmacopoeias, the microbiological quality of purified water (PW) and water for injection (WFI) requires accurate controls and regular validations part of good manufacturing practice (GMP).

Traditional microbiological analysis methods, such as Petri dish culture, are long and costly, and are no longer recommended by pharmacopoeias, in favour of alternative methods for determining the microbiological quality of water.

BWT AQU@Sense MB is a rapid spot or continuous measurement system for all the bacteriological cells (Total Cell Count, TCC) present in pharmaceutical water. Thanks to its accuracy and reliability, BWT AQU@Sense MB makes it possible to assess water quality at any time and increase the safety and operating efficiency of your water treatment facilities.

How BWT Aqu@Sense MB works

20 minutes

Using flow cytometry technology, our Rapid Microbiological Methods identify 100% of bacteria, including those that are in a state of induced stress, i.e. viable but not cultivable.

BWT AQU@Sense MB can detect and count bacteria cells in water in just 20 minutes, via a user-friendly interface, in two operating modes:

Continuous measurement for process control in PW and WFI production systems;
Spot sample measurement for water quality control in storage and distribution equipment.
