l'oreal

L'Oréal Libramont

Reducing water consumption

The plant wishes to respond to a common mission: to guarantee the 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 of L'Oréal products, with demanding water quality, while preserving water resources!

L'Oréal Libramont entrusted BWT with the design of the installation intended to meet these requirements. Reverse osmosis was chosen, with a double osmosis unit.

The result: 60 million litres of water saved every year and purified water produced in compliance with the European Pharmacopoeia.

tonneaux Remy Martin

REMY MARTIN
Production of ingredient water and reduced environmental impact

Cognac production requires extremely demanding water quality. BWT France, aware of these challenges and as a partner of Rémy Martin for over 20 years, was tasked with rethinking water management in 2019.

In addition to producing water that complies with the EC 1935/2004 standard, Rémy Martin is reusing its osmosis concentrates for its utilities and reducing its consumption of chemicals.

Results: 1,200 m3 of water recycled per year and 60% fewer chemicals

papier mphygiene

MP HYGIENE
An alternative solution for the biocidal treatment of process water

BWT deployed its innovative BWT ECO-MX technology for the on-site generation of a fresh disinfectant solution by salt electrolysis at a paper mill producing wiping paper, soaps and hand hygiene solutions.

The results: the company halved its budget for biocidal water treatment and cut its supply transport by a factor of 3

Another benefit for our customer: chemical risks for the 250 employees have been significantly reduced!

essai industriel reuse

Cheese industry
Recycling wastewater in an industrial trial

The site is subject to periods of water stress that limit its access to water. In order to continue producing, BWT is helping it to reuse the wastewater from its WWTP to supply its CTs. In this latest full-scale industrial trial, almost 450 m3 of wastewater was recycled.

A conclusive step that has enabled our customer to:
- Gain a better understanding of the operation of its future wastewater treatment facility,
- Recycle almost 10% of its industrial water requirements.

traitement eau Brasserie Licorne

BRASSERIE LICORNE BREWERY
Reducing carbon footprint and water consumption

As part of an energy management project for production, Licorne wanted to improve the quality of the water entering the boiler, which produces the steam needed to heat the brewing tanks and whose water treatment was provided by a softener.

By installing an osmosis unit at the steam boiler inlet ( OPTIVAP solution with ESC), our customer reduced its annual gas consumption as well as its water consumption.

Results: - 500 MWh per year, i.e. 10 tonnes of CO2 not emitted into the atmosphere and 60% less water used

rex volvic

VOLVIC
Reusing rinse water

To preserve the quality of bottled water, the bottling process uses natural mineral water to rinse the bottles and installations. Some of the raw water is recovered as service water for the utilities, while the surplus is sent to the wastewater treatment plant.

With a view to recovering the lost surplus, Volvic decided to install a treatment system designed to recycle the water, which could then be reused as process water.

Results: 600 m3 of water saved every day

Référence enertherm traitement eau

IDEX La Défense
Performance, safety and environment

As the distributor for the heating and chilled water network in La Défense (92), IDEX is working with BWT to improve the performance and efficiency of technical systems and the use of water from the Seine, which is filtered and pre-treated for the network's needs.

In particular, Enertherm chose BWT ECO-MX for the production of disinfectant solution by salt electrolysis, and BWT Bluwell for real-time monitoring of key indicators relating to the installation.

The results: 50% less water consumption and 40% fewer chemicals!

Kervalis

KERVALIS-ARMOR, SARIA Group
Intelligent recycling

Kervalis-Armor has equipped itself with a container for reprocessing wastewater from the WWTP (wastewater treatment plant), to treat its effluent and limit the effluent discharged. The BWT container can purify, sanitise and soften up to 60 m3 of WWTP water a day.

With a capture rate of one million germs per millilitre, it delivers reprocessed water for industrial use of a quality that exceeds the required standards, guaranteeing optimum efficiency for production and employees.

Results: 15,000 m3 of reprocessed water per year

osmotron naos dipta

NAOS DIPTA, Bioderma
An A to Z project for the cosmetics industry

For a new production unit, Naos Dipta acquired an Osmotron, designed and optimised to meet the pharmaceutical industry’s quality standards.

BWT's support at every stage of the production, storage and distribution process for water specifically adapted to cosmetic needs completes the company's water treatment system.

référence cookware traitement eau

COOKWARE INTERNATIONAL, Pyrex
Responsible consumption

As an industrial glassmaker, Cookware International uses water to cool the components that come into contact with the molten glass.

Classified as an ICPE, the site is subject to a number of energy constraints, in addition to health and environmental requirements. Cookware International therefore called on BWT to ensure a continuous supply of cooling water

Results: reduced water consumption and elimination of chemical and pollution risks

traitement eau arcelor mittal

ARCELOR MITTAL CONSTRUCTION
Responsiveness and proximity

As a manufacturer of galvanised sheet metal, Arcelor Mittal has relied on BWT for over 25 years to treat the water in its cooling towers, steam boilers and wastewater treatment plant.

The site has deployed the innovative BWT ECO-MX and BWT Bluwell solutions to reduce the risks of legionella, corrosion and scaling, ensure continuous monitoring of the installations, and guarantee optimum quality, performance and safety throughout the water treatment chain.

Results: safe installations

traitement eau rockwool

ROCKWOOL
Water as a raw material

An ICPE site specialising in the manufacture of stone wool insulation products and solutions, Rockwool is deeply committed to preserving natural resources, in particular by optimising its industrial processes.

BWT has been working with them since the late 1990s to treat the catchment water used both as a raw material in the manufacture of rockwool and in the cooling circuits, which comprise 16 towers.

The results: fewer chemicals and safer teams and infrastructures.

traitement eau safran

SAFRAN ELECTRONICS & DEFENSE
Day-to-day technical support

For over 40 years, BWT has been helping Safran Electronics & Defense to treat its industrial water. A comprehensive solution and day-to-day support, thanks to a team of 5 people working continuously on site.

The site benefits from BWT solutions to produce ultrapure water, treat cooling towers and treat wastewater, as well as monitoring plant availability indicators.

Results: industrial, energy and environmental performance

d'aucy

D'Aucy le Faouët

Re-use of waste water

For the company, the objective was twofold: to preserve water resources by reusing as much of it as possible in its industrial processes, but also to return the “cleanest” water possible to the river into which the effluent is discharged, without any risk to the local aquatic flora and fauna.
By installing an osmosis unit from the Sigma range, our customer was able to reduce its water consumption.

The result: 80,000 m³ of water reused every year, and equipment that lasts.

traitement eau cristal union

CRISTAL UNION
Reuse and recovery of beet water

During the production of sugar, alcohol and bioethanol, two stages in the sugar process are particularly water-intensive: washing the beet as it enters the factory and extracting the sugar from the beet. At its Bazancourt site, Cristal Union has decided touse the water naturally present in the beet for the washing and extraction processes, in order to limit the amount of water it withdraws from groundwater. This water has to be treated upstream.

Results: 400,000 m3 of water recycled per year
