BWT ECO-MX

Generator of fresh, continuous disinfectant chlorine solution by salt electrolysis

Water. Salt. Electricity. From these three elements, BWT ECO-MX produces a fresh chlorinated solution of very high quality, in situ, on demand, with high disinfecting power, and not classified as hazardous to health and the environment.

Proven for more than 10 years, BWT ECO-MX has already been adopted by more than 130 industrial sites across all sectors for chemical-free disinfection: legionella control in air-cooling systems, microbiological control (no contamination by viruses, organisms, etc.) of process water, etc.

That’s
more than 30 million tonnes of solution produced per year,
more than 1,000 tonnes of bleach saved per year,
more than 12 tonnes of plastic saved,
more than 36 tonnes of CO2 saved,
20 x less chlorates than bleach

Disinfection by salt electrolysis

BWT ECO-MX

A healthy and effective alternative to chemical disinfection

Irrespective of the processes involved and the stages in the water cycle, disinfecting water networks is a major challenge for the health and safety of your industrial facilities and for the maintenance and longevity of your equipment. Classified as dangerous to the health of your employees and the environment, chemical biocides can also damage your brand image.

Thanks to salt electrolysis, our BWT ECO-MX range produces in situ, continuously and on demand a fresh chlorinated disinfectant solution that is not classified as hazardous to health or the environment, and whose effectiveness is recognised by independent laboratories as superior to that of chemical biocides.

Référence enertherm traitement eau

IDEX La Défense
Performance, safety and environment

As the distributor for the heating and chilled water network in La Défense (92), IDEX is working with BWT to improve the performance and efficiency of technical systems and the use of water from the Seine, which is filtered and pre-treated for the network's needs.

In particular, Enertherm chose BWT ECO-MX for the production of disinfectant solution by salt electrolysis, and BWT Bluwell for real-time monitoring of key indicators relating to the installation.

The results: 50% less water consumption and 40% fewer chemicals!

papier mphygiene

MP HYGIENE
An alternative solution for the biocidal treatment of process water

BWT deployed its innovative BWT ECO-MX technology for the on-site generation of a fresh disinfectant solution by salt electrolysis at a paper mill producing wiping paper, soaps and hand hygiene solutions.

The results: the company halved its budget for biocidal water treatment and cut its supply transport by a factor of 3

Another benefit for our customer: chemical risks for the 250 employees have been significantly reduced!

COOKWARE INTERNATIONAL, Pyrex
Responsible consumption

As an industrial glassmaker, Cookware International uses water to cool the components that come into contact with the molten glass.

Classified as an ICPE, the site is subject to a number of energy constraints, in addition to health and environmental requirements. Cookware International therefore called on BWT to ensure a continuous supply of cooling water

Results: reduced water consumption and elimination of chemical and pollution risks

traitement eau arcelor mittal

ARCELOR MITTAL CONSTRUCTION
Responsiveness and proximity

As a manufacturer of galvanised sheet metal, Arcelor Mittal has relied on BWT for over 25 years to treat the water in its cooling towers, steam boilers and wastewater treatment plant.

The site has deployed the innovative BWT ECO-MX and BWT Bluwell solutions to reduce the risks of legionella, corrosion and scaling, ensure continuous monitoring of the installations, and guarantee optimum quality, performance and safety throughout the water treatment chain.

Results: safe installations
