Water treatment equipment and systems
Produce compliant, optimal water quality
A complete range of treatment technologies for the entire water cycle and for all types of industrial installations: industrial processes, cooling circuits, glycol water, drinking water, closed chilled water or heating circuits, raw water, steam production, wastewater, effluent treatment, wastewater treatment plants, etc.
Whatever the quality of water to be treated and produced: purified water, pure steam, food-grade water, softened water or osmosis water.
Our water treatment solutions and installations are designed by our Research and Development department, manufactured in our own plants and technically maintained by our local technicians.

STANDARD RANGE
Designed and developed by our engineering teams to meet the challenges of all industrial sectors, our industrial water treatment facilities are made up of materials and equipment that can be adapted to your environment and constraints: filtration, ion exchange, membrane techniques and disinfection.
Filtration
For pre-treatment, to physically separate water and suspended solids, BWT offers a complete range of the most efficient equipment for all flow rates.

Media filtration
Support/filter bed, single/multi-layer, depending on the water to be filtered, installations and washing facilities

Iron removal/Manganese removal
Chemical or biological oxidation of iron and manganese dissolved in water (groundwater pre-treatment)

Remineralisation
Filtration on material neutralising the aggressive nature of certain waters (drinking, ground, osmosis)

Membrane filtration
Microfiltration or ultrafiltration for surface or river water with a high suspended solids content
Ion exchangers
In the form of synthetic, gel or macro-porous beads, cationic and anionic resins, and the technology of the equipment containing them, offer refining treatments adapted to the water quality required in industrial environments.

Softening
Removing limescale from industrial water: protection, performance and lifespan of industrial infrastructures

Denitration
Elimination of nitrates in groundwater: drinking water production

Decarbonation
Partial demineralisation of water (calcium, magnesium, carbonate) for the treatment of all industrial water

Demineralisation
Total elimination of ions present in water, suitable for treating all types of industrial water

Mixed beds
For water of very high physico-chemical quality. On its own or in addition to chaining (polishing)
Membrane techniques
In refining, membrane techniques provide a reliable and effective barrier against pollutants, whatever their concentration in the influent water. In response to changes in legislation and standards on ultrapure water, potabilisation and discharges, they also limit the use of chemicals and eliminate the appearance of treatment by-products during operation.

Microfiltration/Ultrafiltration
Pre- or post-treatment, calibrated filtration to eliminate micro-organisms and pyrogenic substances

Nanofiltration
Reverse osmosis membrane derivative: drinking water production

Reverse osmosis
Reverse osmosis: a system for purifying water by means of very fine filtration, allowing only the water molecules to pass through.

Electrodeionization
Combination of membrane and ion exchange techniques: continuous production of ultrapure water, without chemicals
Disinfection
To control biocontamination in industrial systems and equipment, this process reduces or eliminates the micro-organisms present in the water. Most disinfection treatments can be used alone or in combination with other existing processes.

Ultraviolet
A physical disinfection process, ultraviolet radiation is highly destructive to micro-organisms

Ozone
Ozone treatment is the most powerful disinfection and oxidation method

Thermal
Disinfection and microbiological control of equipment and networks by raising the temperature (> 85°C)
SPECIFIC PROCESSES
In industry, the pharmaceutical and agri-food sectors are subject to food safety and health requirements and constraints that impose specific water qualities. BWT technologies and water treatment installations, designed by our R&D and Design Departments and assembled in BWT's own manufacturing workshops in France and Switzerland, meet the challenges of these industries in terms of productivity and water efficiency, which is a real environmental issue.
Purified water
Production, storage and distribution of purified water in compliance with US and European Pharmacopoeia requirements
WFI
Production of water for injection by distillation (hot) or membrane separators (cold)
Pure steam
Production of pure steam for sterilisation (installations, pipes, packaging) and controlled humidification
Ingredient water
Production of water intended to be used in, or come into direct contact with, the final food product
