A lot of you visited our stand and the container!
BWT France was at Pollutec 2023 to present not only our industrial water treatment solution, but also our strategy of supporting manufacturers in their ecological transition, while maintaining or improving their performance and taking account of the latest regulatory developments (wastewater reuse decree, drought decree, products classed as CMR, etc.).
To meet our customers' CSR and development requirements, our actions are guided by three pillars: preserving water resources, reducing energy consumption and protecting the natural environment and human resources by limiting the use of chemicals.
Announced in February 2023 at our CAP 26 conference, BWT France's objectives for 2026 in industry are ambitious and were reaffirmed at the trade fair:
- Save 500,000 m³ of water for our customers.
- Reduce our customers' gas consumption by 6,500 MWh.
- Reduce the bleach equivalents used by our customers by 5,000 tonnes thanks to 200 BWT ECO-MX, our on-site salt electrolysis biocide generator.
- Eliminate the environmental impact of discharges from 60 industrial customers thanks to our BWT ECO-UV and BWT ECO-UV+ water disinfection range additions.
- Reduce our plastics consumption by 40 tonnes and our CO2 emissions and those of our partners by 65%.
To help us achieve these goals, innovation has always been part of BWT France's DNA.
For example, we were able to present our new on-site hydrogen peroxide generator, the BWT ECO UV+. On our stand, we also displayed our green chemistry range: a corrosion inhibitor, a scale inhibitor and a biodegradable biodispersant. These are already being deployed by our customers, including Fraîcheur de Paris, the operator of the urban cooling network for the City of Paris. These solutions are a response to potential chemical shortages and inflations, while at the same time making up for the bans on certain products classed as CMR, which today include sodium bromide and in future, perhaps, azoles.
Big success for our BWT Plug & Reuse container

It's a first... and it's a success! Throughout the show, you could visit our BWT Plug & Reuse, a pilot test container for recycling industrial water on the forecourt of Eurexpo Lyon during Pollutec 2023.
